Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

Welcome to the Harvesting Memories Blog Hop. Today we are celebrating the Harvest and Autumn. This is one of my favorite times of year, the leaves changing, hot Apple Cider, and sitting around the wood fire in the crisp Autumn air.

For my project I did a lay out from an Autumn trip I took to Iowa.

I chose some DCWV all seasons paper backed on some 12 x 12 craft card stock.

I mounted my two photos on another piece of the DCWV pattern paper

 I used some stickers from my stash to make the title on the bottom of the page.

I journaled on the pattern paper and popped the photos up on some pop dots to finish my lay out.

Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop

Welcome to the Canine Cancer Awareness Blog Hop!! We have a lot of talented ladies with some great projects to share with you today with the theme of Dogs...

Did you know that 1 in 4 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer?! I didn't realize that canine cancer was so common until my sweet girl was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer called Osteosarcoma.
This is the very same cancer that takes many young children's lives also. Humans and dogs suffer from the same cancers and I believe when there is a cure for human cancer there will be a cure for Canine cancer also. So we must all stick together and not only hope for a cure but bring awareness to these horrible cancers!

So there will be blog candy for this hop! You will have to do a few things to be entered in it but they are super easy But the CANDY IS......A $10 gift certificate from Me...and Miriam was super nice to match with another $10 gift certificate so 1 winner will get a total of $20 to spend in Miriam's shop! This is a lay out I did of our dog Shadow, we lost him this summer at the age of 15. I put the pictures in Polaroid frames 

I covered some chip board letters with holographic embossing powder to make the letters shine.

I added a journaling card and some journaling and then I used a white Gel pen to write some fun facts about Shadow around the outside of the patterned paper.
