Maggie's Baby Shower

This past weekend I had the honor along with 3 of my sisters to host a baby shower for our oldest sister Maggie who is expecting her second boy, Aiden in September. We didn't get to do this with my nephew so we decided to do it this time.

These were the invitations I made and sent out. It was a Surprise shower... well up until about 15 minutes before the shower when our brother let the cat out of the bag.

This is the Diaper cake my sister Gretchen and I made. It really is easy once you get the hang of it. We did cover the cardboard with some patterned paper.

These are the favors I made. I did the gift bags with the Platin Schoolbook Cartridge at 9 inches and the other ones I used my spellbinders dies. I used Cuttin Up for the rattles.

Thanks for stoppin by come back again soon ~ Carla

For my project today I did another Christmas Card.

For my Card I used a Cream A2 size card base.

I used my Nestabilites and Perfect pearls for create my Christmas tree. You can't see the color very good but I used green Perfect Pearls, a Tree stamp, and Versamark ink.

I got my patterned paper from Christmas kit but I don't remember who made it,it was on clearance. The paper is cut at 4 x 5 1/4 inches and I used Jet black StazOn ink and a stamp from Anna Bee designs for my sentiment.

I used Forest Green StazOn ink and a Stampabilites sentiment stamp for the inside of my card.

4 Days of Christmas Day 3

Welcome to the Christmas in July blog hop. Thank you for joining us to celebrate our Christ's birth. I love all things about Christmas and start planning Christmas as soon as the tree comes down.

If you have arrived from Anita's Blog you are in the right place. If you just happened upon this hop you can start from the beginning at Lisa's Blog. Make sure you come back each day to see what cool new projects we've made.

For my project I decided to get a jump start on my Christmas Cards. I made a shape card using my Nestabilites dies.

I started with an A2 size card base and lined it up with my larges die, making sure that my fold line was below the edge of the die. To cover the flat edge I just cut the shape a second time on a piece of white card stock and adhered it to the card base.

I ran the next smaller die through with red card stock to create a mat layer.

Using the next smaller dies I cut the next layers one using patterned paper and the other using white card stock. I then stamped my images using Stazon ink and adhered them together.

I repeated the previous step for the inside of the card.

And here is my finished card.
