Penguin Gift Tag

I've been trying really hard to make my own tags this year and I came up with another really easy gift tag.

What you will need to make this tag is....

- A stamp of your choice. I used and INKADINKADO clear stamp

-2 pieces of white Card stock cut to fit your stamp. I used 3x3"

-1 piece of colored card stock 1/4 inch bigger than the white card stock. I used Red Recollections card cut at 3.25 x 3.25".

- Markers to color your image if you choose to.

-Stickles or glitter of some sort if you want

- Hole punch

-Bakers Twine or some kind of string to attach the tag to a package.

Stamp the to and from on one of the white card stock pieces. I used Forest Green StazOn ink.

Stamp your image on the other white card stock. I used Jet Black StazOn Ink.

I choose to color my image and I used Ranger Ink Markers and Prisma Color Markers

Mount the white panels on the colored card stock.

I used Aleene's Tack it over and over and Martha Stewart Glitter to cover the cuff of the Penguins Hat.

Punch a small whole in the top corner of the tag and thread your bakers twine or string.

I do have a few rules for this hop, in support of each crafter and the time they have put into their work, to be eligible for the "Grand Prize" you MUST visit each blog and leave a comment for each day of the blog hop and also become a follower of my blog, and my dt blog at http://  The blog candy is $25 in free files over at
I also am giving out a file of $3 value to each person that hops. To get this file, please choose what you would like and then send me an email to and I will send your file right out to you.

If you have come from Anita's Blog you’re on the right track. This hop runs on Oct. 13, so you have plenty of time to make it all the way through the hop. Check out each blog and see what each blog has to offer for BLOG CANDY!  After all it's Halloween and who doesn't like Halloween.

Now for my project, I made a Halloween Card for my Niece

I used a digi stamp, and K&Co paper.

I had an ops with my embossing so I decided to cover it up.

I embossed my tick or treat stamp again on black paper and then covered the rest of my ops.

I embossed with white embossing powder my sentiment on the inside and then wrote my message to my niece in white Gel pen just for a fun difference.

Thanks for hopping by make sure you hope on over to Mickie's Blog ~ Carla

Halloween Lay Out 8.5x11"

Hey everyone I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a while, life has been so busy. First of all My beautiful Big Sister gave birth to my newest Nephew.

Aiden Matthew Joel was born on September 15, 2012. He was 8 pounds 9 ounces and 20 inches. So I have been out of town, but I have a ton of projects to share with you that I did before he was born.

I've been working on Christmas presents.... I know it's only September, but I wanted to get a head start on them. I made a Scrapbook for my dad of old pictures of him and his family from his childhood and up. This is one of the one page lay outs I made.

Supplies Used:

*8.5 x 11" Black Recollections Card stock
*8.25 x 10.75" Martha Stewart Crafts Halloween Patterned Paper
*3 x 4 3/8" black photo mat
*Recollections Halloween Border Sticker
*K&Co. SpookTacular Adhesive borders
*Studio G spider punch
*Studio G Stamp
*Martha Stewart Creepy Fence Punch
*Ranger White Embossing Powder
*Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and Iced Spruce
*White Gel Pen
*Foam Tape

I loved this paper from Martha Stewart. A paper saving tip is that you can cut the card stock from behind the patterned paper to use for the photo mat. I usually leave an inch border just to be safe.

This photo was cut from a newspaper featuring my Dad and a co-worker dressed up for Halloween in the 70's. I decided to cut the photo mat larger and do my journaling under the photo.

I attached my photo using Photo Safe foam tape.

Here I added two of the boarder stickers, I like that you can cut a boarder apart and use it as a sort of title like I did here.

Here I added the third boarder sticker piece at the bottom.

Here is the Studio G Stamp that I embossed with the white Ranger Embossing powder, I used the Martha Stewart creepy fence punch and the Distress ink to make the fence on the side.
I used the Studio G Spider punch to punch the little spiders and attached them with very tiny pieces of foam tape.

Here is my finished lay out.

Daddy and Me Lay Out

Thanks for stopping by today I want to share with you an 8.5 x 11 inch lay out I did.

For this Lay Out I used:

-8.5x11" white card stock
-8.25 x 10.75" Lime Green Card Stock
-8 x 10.5" white paper that I used to make the sunburst patter.
-Whimsy Stack by DCWV
- Cuttin Up Cricut Cartridge cut at 1.5" for my title.
- Spellbinders Nestabilites Labels Nine dies.
-6 buttons
- Watermelon Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink
- Lime green floss
- Swiss Dots Cuddle Bug Embossing Folder
- Journaling Jots by CTMH Stamps.
- Azure StazOn Ink

Layer the Lime Green card stock over the white layer.

Tip: I cut the middle out of the hidden layers to save paper.

This is the finished sun burst layer.

Layer the sun burst on top of the Green and white base.

For my photo mats I layered Lime Green and White layers. The white is an 1/8 of an inch difference.

I adhered the photo.... This is My Dad and I when I was learning to stand and walk.

I used foam tape to adhere my picture to the layout.

I ran my title through the Big Shot in the Swiss Dots Embossing folder by Cuddle Bug. I stamped and layered by journaling card. I colored white buttons with Alcohol Inks to make them the right color and then threaded them with the lime Embroidery Floss.
