Father's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Father's Day" Blog Hop!

We're so happy you could join us today to honor Fathers, Brothers, Sons, Uncles or any other man who has been a great influence in our lives!

You should have arrived from Ashley's Blog .  If you happened by my blog or are joining me from your dashboard, head over to Miranda's blog to start at the beginning.
We don't want you to miss any of the fun!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome projects, there is some blog candy available too.  Miranda will be giving away a Michael’s or JoAnn's gift card (winner's choice).  To be eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the hop and leave a comment!
The winner will be announced Wednesday, June 19th on Miranda's blog!

For my Project, I made a 12x12 Lay out of My dad and I at my High School Graduation.

I forgot to take a picture before I put the title on, but I have layered my photo on a layer of White card stock, blue card stock, and a black Chevron patterned paper, I just eye balled and hand cut these to add some interest.

The title is made out of Foam letter stickers made by the Paper Studio and I have to tell you, I LOVE THEM!! I got them at Hobby Lobby for 50% off and I love them.

For the rest of the title I used some silver paper studio letters that I had in my stash.

I layered a journaling card on a layer of blue paper, to keep with my color scheme.

I recently got these adorable Pebbles stamps at Hobby lobby and I thought the Dad and Daughter ones were perfect, so I embossed them on black card stock with white Embossing powder and then cut them out and layered them on some blue card stock.

In the top and bottom corners I added these Flourishes with Liquid Pearls by Ranger in Pearl White. (I'm still getting the technique down so they're not always neat and perfect)
To finish my lay out I made some large photo corners. I cut triangles from some blue card stock and punched the paw print, (my High School mascot was the Panther) then layered that on white card stock. For the one on the photo I added a layer of black too.

Should you get lost along the way, here is the entire line up:

  14. great job on the layout! I think you did really well with those flourishes too! I am terrible with stickles and liquid pearls. I always get globs instead of dots.
